Meet Madison Walsh and Cassia Carnell, the angelic duo from Gold Coast, Australia. These two are the heartbeat behind Love Camí, a lingerie label that's gently redefining elegance and femininity. In a world where femininity is often displayed for the gaze of others, Love Camí gracefully shifts the focus, celebrating a narrative in lingerie that's intimately and exclusively crafted for the individual.

Madison, the dream weaver of the pair, brought Love Camí to life with a sparkle in her eye. Her vision? A line of lingerie that's all about making women feel like they're not just wearing a piece of clothing, but donning a crown of confidence and sophistication. She's reimagining lingerie not as a piece to impress others, but as a love letter to oneself.

Enter Cassia, the designer with an eye for elegance. She joined Love Camí and immediately recognised its boundless potential. Driven by a love for crafting designs that narrate a story, Cassia is the perfect artistic complement to Madison's vision. Together, they are not just creating garments; they are delicately crafting experiences.

In just three words, how would each of you describe your label?

Three words that best describe Love Camí and the values it transpired from are timeless, effortless yet elegant.

I think with both of us, we light up to the same things, which ultimately makes our creative triggers and processes symbiotic. Any kind of practice that has transportative qualities helps shape our creative thought. So Music, Cuisine, Classic movies and books. To pinpoint it though, I would say reading through old diaries or looking through memory boxes is something that really reignites that creative spark.

Do you girls have any rituals or routines that fuel your creativity?

The latest collection features such stunning pieces. Could both of you give us a glimpse into the creative process and inspiration behind these designs?

Our latest collection has taken inspiration from many places. I think that one scene from Breakfast at Tiffany’s when she is rushing around to get ready really encapsulates how we wanted this collection to transpire (and obviously Audrey Hepburn herself). Having select pieces that are intimate yet beautiful is a true possession of self-love.

Recently, an interview came out with Priscilla Presley speaking about where herself and Elvis would dress up for any and every occasion no matter if they weren't leaving the house - to them it was a sign of respect to each other. I think this collection accomplishes exactly that, but is rather a sign of respect to yourself in your most intimate moments.

And what’s your personal favourite from the latest collection?

Without a doubt the Sabrina Nightie, I think we really nailed the look and feel of such an elegant yet exceedingly comfortable piece.

What song describes your lives at this very moment?

This is so hard! We are both such big music fans. Probably this song by L’ Impératrice, Peur des filles which we used for an earlier video campaign. The music video is so cool and the direct translation is Scared of Girls and we feel that is just so fitting for our life with Love Camí.

How does each of your personal styles influence your designs?

We both love bridging our style between super Masculine and Feminine dressing. We are both also obsessed with vintage and second-hand clothing, just the feeling of having a one-of-a-kind piece and something that has its own story is so appealing to incorporate into an everyday style. And while our pieces are not one of a kind individually the design certainly draws from that. Simple, Beautiful and well made. We also love the idea of someone wearing the Sabrina Nightie out paired with other very masculine-toned pieces, i.e. a Trench coat, Dress Shirt, Blazer, Loafers.

What inspired the founding of Love Camí, and how did the concept of celebrating femininity come about?

Celebrating and embracing a feminine side through intimate apparel is not a concept first of its kind. However, the way Love Cami approaches it is with a sense of exclusivity to yourself and encapsulates that self-romance. Adorning yourself for just yourself only. To Love Cami the sexiest thing you can do is buy beautiful intimates and expect no one to see it. “Let our pieces be more for you than anyone else, an underlying confidant left to the imagination, a mirror of your confidence. Something exquisitely yours.”

How has the journey of building Love Camí impacted each of you personally?

It has taught us a lot, we have had many ups and downs so far even though we are still so small. We have a long way to go and without a doubt, this has been such a great lesson for each of us. Knowing we both feel restless only working for other businesses has been such a crucial thing to learn over this time. Understanding both of our skills and weaknesses while in a personal and business-related relationship has been such a great experience to have.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to feel more confident and empowered in their own skin?

Prioritise a relationship with yourself, confidence and empowerment is merely how you hold yourself and walk in the world. To know who you are, what you like and don’t like, your strong suits and weaknesses. Start small, romance yourself, and take yourself out on dates. Every person I have met that has an ability to light up a room is so unapologetically themselves and holds themself with grace and stature.
